Edison Customers Looking Forward to Lower Rates

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC and ONN) – Local Ohio Edison customers can look for a decrease in electric bills soon, in time for the air conditioning season.

The PUCO says parent company FirstEnergy is paying 27-percent less for electricity at auction.

And that should translate to lower rates for most customers.

The Akron-based utility has not filed its rate plan with regulators just yet.

Energy prices skyrocketed last year.
