ELECTION 2024: SOS LaRose Clarifies Voting Clothing, Other Restrictions

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose is interpreting state law regarding attire and paraphernalia inside the voting location strictly.

So even though you can’t bear items with a candidate’s name on them, you can sport something that reads “Make America Great Again” or “I’m With Her”, for example.

That’s different from previous years, where LaRose tells WHBC News that Election offices interpreted the law differently.

Also part of the law when it comes to attire and paraphernalia: no political party names or support or opposition to a ballot issue.
