(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – With many rivers and creeks already out of their banks the last thing we need is more rain, but that’s what’s in the forecast.

The National Weather Service says showers and storms are expected Wednesday night and Thursday, with some of the storms dumping heavy rain.

Stark and surrounding counties are included in a Flash Flood Watch that goes until 8 o’clock Thursday night.

Also, a Flood Warning has been extended for the Tuscarawas River at Massillon until Thursday night as minor flooding is occurring and more rain is in the forecast.

Several vehicles, including semis, have gotten stuck in high water.

Officials say never try to drive through high water, because it could be deeper than it appears and moving water can easily pick up a vehicle.
