Foodbank Holiday Campaign Begins Amid Continued Increase in Need

AKRON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s annual Holiday Campaign has kicked off, and it continues through December 31.
To the surprise of food bank officials, the need for food continues to grow, even with the pandemic behind us.
The Akron-based organization says food distribution to their eight-county coverage area is up 18-percent from last year.
They suggest giving, even creating your own food drive.
Also, volunteering, like at the Canton distribution center and pantry on Cherry Avenue NE.
