Former CCSD Custodian Enters Plea to Theft Charge

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A 44-year-old former custodian in the Canton City School District will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty Thursday to charges related to the theft of $22,000 from the union he belonged to.

Eric Snyder of Sherrodsville pleaded guilty to grand theft.

He was let go by the district this Summer.

Canton police in court documents say Snyder transferred money from the OAPSE local’s bank account between June of 2022
and this past May.

He reportedly worked at Youtz Intermediate School.
