CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A former executive director with the Stark County Republican Party will be adjudicated through the county Honor Court after pleading guilty to theft charges.
The county prosecutor’s officer says 45-year-old Jason Wise of Plain Township stole $36,000 from the party organization between 2021 and 2022.
He has paid most of it back.
Wise pleaded guilty to 23 felony counts in an indictment, including theft, tampering with records and forgery.
After the Honor Court’s assessment, the veteran will be under supervision and be required to report regularly to the judge.
