Funding for EV Tech Training Program at Stark State

JACKSON TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Funding from the National Science Foundation keeps Stark State College at the cutting edge with its car repair programs.

The $613,000 grant will create a Electric Vehicle Technician Training program.

Congresswoman Emilia Sykes in announcing the award says funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

It’s anticipated more than 12,000 electric vehicle jobs will be created in northeast Ohio by the year 2030.

Stark State will use the funding to develop a training solution based on the needs of regional employers seeking EV technicians.
