Gas Leak Forces Evacuation in Dennison

DENNISON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Major disruptions in the Tuscarawas County village of Dennison on Tuesday.

A five-to-six block area around a natural gas leak in downtown Dennison had to be evacuated.

That included a couple of nearby school buildings.

It was an eight-inch main gas line hit by the contractor working on a revitalization project.

Natural gas distribution company Enbridge was contacted.

Repairs on the line took a number of hours.

That leak happened right in front of Village Hall which is at Grant and 3rd Streets.

No injuries were reported.
