THANKSGIVING: Going Out Wednesday Night? State Program Offers Rideshare Credits

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Ohio Traffic Safety Office is offering twenty-dollar rideshare credits to Ohioans who plan to consume alcohol, and want a safe way home this weekend.

The Lyft credits must be used within 24 hours of acquisition, and you must use the Lyft app.

A limited number of credits is being issued each day.

A $20,000 grant from the Governors Highway Safety Association pays for the credits.

A similar program is offered over holiday periods by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
