(ONN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is being sued by one of its officers – Norma Scott – who says she faced harassment based on her race.

The situation began when a supervisor allegedly made comments during a training session on terrorism.

According to the lawsuit, the supervisor allegedly said quote “we need to get rid of them people like Paris did.”

Scott asked the supervisor what he meant…to which he allegedly replied quote “brown people like you… but they will not give Trump credit for this idea.”

Scott says she faced retaliation for reporting it.

The highway patrol says it cannot discuss pending litigation.
