Homicide Suspect Arrested in Akron

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Early today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force were able to track down and arrest a man wanted for an Akron murder. 20 year old Jeremiah Alexander of Akron was wanted for the murder of 18 year old Tion Anthony on August 14.
Alexander is believed to have shot and killed Anthony at the intersection of Dahlgren Drive and Rosemary Boulevard. Alexander was arrested at an Akron residence this afternoon, less than 48 hours after the crime.
While it is still unclear as to what led up to the crime, Akron Police Captain David Laughlin says he is happy to have the suspect in custody.
