One group of children may NOT be as happy as their classmates that school is out for the summer.

We’re speaking of those who participate in the free or reduced school lunch programs and BackPack for Kids.

The backpack program is continuing through the summer, with the kids receiving a bag containing two breakfasts, two lunches, snacks and drinks.

Stephanie Sweany from the Stark County Hunger Task Force says distribution is every Thursday this summer except July 4 at three locations.

Here are the locations:

The main Stark County Library, 715 Market Ave. N., Canton

DeHoff Memorial Branch, Stark County Library, 216 Hartford Ave. SE, Canton

Madge Youtz Branch, Stark County Library, 2921 Mahoning Road NE, Canton

Children between the ages of 4 and 17 are eligible.

Parents and guardians must have a photo ID to receive a bag for the household.
