In Massillon, Streetscape Closing Moved Up

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A major street closing kicks in on Thursday in Massillon.

Lincoln Way E will be closed between Erie Street and First Street NE for up to three months for the Streetscape project.

New traffic lights, streetlights and brick pavers are part of the $2-million-plus project.

Mayor Kathy Catazaro-Perry says parking spots in the city lot are being designated for businesses that are impacted by the loss of on-street parking.

If the contractor does not have the street reopened by October 25th, it will pay a stiff daily fine.
