Jackson PD Investigating After Ammo Round Found at Middle School

JACKSON TWP., Ohio (News Talk 148 WHBC) – Students, teachers and staff at Jackson Memorial Middle School were required to shelter in place for about 25 minutes Tuesday morning.
This, after a student located a “weathered” round of ammunition in a locker shared by several students to store band instruments.
A sweep of the middle school by a Jackson Local Schools security team was conducted, and the all-clear was given just after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
It’s not known how the ammo made it into the school building.
No threats were made to the school.
Jackson Township police are investigating.
