Latest Heat Wave Arrives, Tuesday Could be Hottest Day

CANTON, Ohio (1480 WHBC) – After a high of 91 on Monday, we’ll reach into the 90s during this latest heat wave.

96 is the AccuWeather forecast high.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Carl Erickson says this one will not be impacting the Northeast to the extent the last one did.

We’re on the northern fringes of this one.

And it won’t last real long, with temps back into the 80s by Thursday.

Carl says the relatively cooler air could be accompanied by some gusty thunderstorms on Wednesday.

It all translates into a holiday weekend with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

There have now been 12 days with highs of 90 or above at the airport this Summer.

At 96 on Tuesday, that would be the hottest day of the year.
