Liquor Control Pulls License From Akron Bar Over COVID Rules

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An Akron bar cited four times for COVID safety violations has lost its liquor license.

The Ohio Liquor Control Commission ruled that the Highland Tavern will not be able to sell alcohol after October 2.

The bar is being given 21 days to appeal.

Ohio Investigative Commission agents visited the bar three times in August and once again this month, with alcohol being sold after 10 p.m.
