Local Man, Woman Receive ‘Saved by Belt’ Recognition

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Lives are saved when people wear seat belts, and they often change dramatically when they don’t.

That’s the message from the State Highway Patrol, where two area drivers recently joined the “Saved by the Belt” Club.

The Canton post of the patrol recognized Bella Parker of Barberton at an event, presenting a certificate and “Saved by the Belt” license plate bracket.

She came out of a rollover crash on State Street in Stark County with just minor injuries.

Paul Troyer who has a Uniontown address received the same recognition from the Ravenna post, surviving a crash on Route 224 in Portage County.
