Things Looking Up in East Palestine

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Over 20 months now since the East Palestine train derailment, and Village Fire Chief Keith Drabick believes the residents he has talked to recently are doing OK.

Some are having issues and others may not be happy with the current settlement agreement, but he thinks things will work out.

Drabick also says the village has a better line of communication now with Norfolk Southern, though it may have taken a major derailment to make that happen.

He admits he works with all business and industry in town discussing safety plans and such, but full cooperation isn’t always there.
