Sheriff: Man Arrested For Trafficking Heroin In Stark County
(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says a suspected heroin trafficker has been arrested.
35-year-old Davis Anthony Hill, of the 1300 block of 13th Street NW in Canton, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
The Stark County Metro Narcotics Unit says Hill was arrested following a five month investigation into drug trafficking in the county.
Authorities executed a search warrant at the residence and say they found about 2 pounds of heroin, cash and two guns.
Hill was taken to the Stark County Jail on charges of possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin and having weapons under disability which are all felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $1.5 million.
“This is part of our commitment to stop the trafficking in heroin that has a drastic effect on the citizens of Stark County, said Sheriff George Maier.
“I am confident that our continued efforts to combat the heroin epidemic here in Stark County saves lives and contributes to a safer community”.
