Man Bludgeoned to death in Bethlehem Township

Stark County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Homicide

The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in Bethlehem Township.

At 3:58 a.m. Saturday, July 27th deputies responded to 6000 Beth Ave SW lot 49 in response to a homicide. Upon arrival deputies located a deceased 64-year-old man.

The suspect, 18-year-old  Lee V. Berry, was still on scene and taken in to custody. Investigators determined Berry struck the victim several times with a blunt object after a verbal argument.

Berry has been charged with 1 count of Tampering with Evidence, 1 count of Domestic Violence and 1 count of Murder.

Berry and the victim lived at the same residence on Beth Avenue SW.
