(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – An accused drug dealer is facing charges in connection with a man’s overdose death.

Ellis Wilson, 25, of Akron, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office says a resident of Green purchased what he believed to be heroin from Wilson, but it was actually carfentanil, a powerful synthetic opioid.

The man died from a drug overdose after taking the carfentanil.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Wilson’s Akron home where they say they recovered drug paraphernalia used to prepare drugs for sale and suspected carfentanil.
