A precarious rescue of a man who fell off a bridge in Canton over the weekend. Canton Fire officials say the man fell approximately 60 feet from the bridge at 30 westbound to 77 north on-ramp. When rescuers got there they discovered the man had life-threatening injuries but he also landed on a narrow strip of land between the concrete wall and the creek below. The victim could not be reached by foot and crews brought him to safety by using a rope and a basket to raise him up the wall. The rescue took about 30 minutes. The man was taken to the Aultman Hospital trauma unit with serious injuries.
