Water Rescue Under 1st Street Trestle In Massillon

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – There were some heroes in that heavy rain and resulting high water across much of Stark County on Sunday.

In Massillon, Police Patrolman Mike Manos and an unnamed Good Samaritan pulled a man from his stalled car under the trestle on 1st Street SW.

Water was entering the car and the man was trapped.

He’s OK now.

Massillon police posted video of the rescue to Facebook.

Much of the county got 3 to 5 inches on Sunday afternoon and evening.
