CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The downtown McKinley Grand Hotel will once again become part of the Hilton family of hotels when it reopens later this year.

Owners the Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village revealing Thursday that the hotel will carry the DoubleTree brand come September.

The hotel had originally opened as a Hilton in 1986.

The company is spending $25 million to purchase and remodel the Market Avenue S building.
