NORTH CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – It looks like a great deal of planning went into the theft and break-in of a bank cash machine in North Canton last week.
Police say the forklift taken from the Wendy’s construction site used parking lots and grassy areas behind businesses to get to the Fifth Third Bank location on North Main Street.
That’s where North Canton police found the forklift and the ATM housing when they responded to the automatic bank alarm early last Tuesday.
Parts of the machine were found at a construction site outside of North Canton on Mount Pleasant Street NW in Lake Township.
There was over $44,000 in cash inside the machine.
The ATM is valued at $26,000.
Detectives continue to investigate.
