(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A Flood Advisory is in effect for northern Stark, southern Summit, northwest Portage and Wayne Counties until 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Over two inches of rain has fallen in areas where there was heavy rain on Monday.

Barberton, Rittman and the small town of Clinton were especially hard hit by Monday’s rains.

Green Family Loses Driveway

The Dowey family in the city of Green could only watch, as high water had just washed away their access to the outside world.

The flood waters destroyed the land bridge between East Nimisila Road and their home in the 1200 block.

They had just moved in a few weeks ago.

Stark County Impact

Stark County is mopping up as well.

In addition to a lot of flooded basements mainly in the northern part of the county, the Tuscarawas River was out of its banks in several locations.

A couple of parks in Canal Fulton were flooded.
