(ONN) – More Ohio State alumni have filed a lawsuit against the university over how the school dealt with a sex abuse scandal involving team doctor Richard Strauss.

An investigation found OSU didn’t do enough to stop the actions of Strauss, who killed himself in 2005.

The federal case filed by 16 alumni is the fifth pending lawsuit.

A judge directed the earlier lawsuits to mediation.

The university admitted it made mistakes, and says it has made changes.

Governor Mike DeWine is pushing for reforms in the wake of a report that found Strauss sexually abused at least 177 male students over the span of decades.
