NORTH CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A combination of local law enforcement groups are once again pairing up with a national retailer to put on the 2019 National Night out. Stark County Prosecuting Attorney, John D. Ferrero, Jackson Township Police Department, Stark County Sheriff’s Office, Stark County Safe Communities, The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Target Stores will all be collaborating to host the event.

The purpose of National Night out is to highlight the positive partnership between citizens and law enforcement. The event will provide safety information, along with a ‘meet and greet’ with local members of the law enforcement and safety personnel. Attendees can also view various public safety vehicles.

Free food will be provided by Target, which includes hotdogs, hamburgers, and veggie-burgers. The food vendors will be: That Little Italian Kitchen, Bubba’s 33, Quaker Steak & Lube, Smoke the Burger Joint, Papa Gyros, Five Guys, Chuck E Cheese’s, Contessa’s Italian Pizzeria, DiBella’s Subs, Donatos Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mission BBQ, Raising Cane’s, Chick-fil-A, Firehouse Subs, Melt, Penn Station, Burntwood Tavern, Doughy Paws Pizzeria, Lindsey’s Pizza, Nom Nom Cupcake Factory, Popcorn Factory, and Old Carolina Barbecue Company.

BW3’s, Quaker Steak and Lube, and Bubba’s 33 restaurants will host a wing eating competition for the first six registrants. They are each scheduled between 6:45 pm, 7:00 pm, and 7:15 pm. Finally, a raffle sponsored by Sunset Hills Burial Park & Memory Garden, to win a small remote control electric police pursuit car, which will take place at 7:30pm.

The event will take place on it’s traditional date, the first Tuesday in August, which will be on August 6 this year. It will go on from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Target parking lot on 5584 Dressler Rd. NW, North Canton.
