WASHINGTON, DC (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – It hasn’t kicked in yet, but Ohio Congressmen Bob Gibbs and Dave Joyce don’t want a 2.3% tax on medical devices to take effect.

They’ve written to House and Senate leaders asking that the bill passed with the Affordable Care Act be repealed.

There’s been a moratorium on the tax that continues until the end of this year.

The representatives cite the importance of medical device manufacturers for Ohio’s economy, as well as the patients who use the equipment.
