Need Help Falling Asleep?  Sip One of These Before Bed!

Sleep is tough to get these days, and if you’ve tried a lot of tricks to get that eight hours in and it didn’t work, “Real Simple” has a unique tip. There are some drinks that will help you doze off if you sip them. Give these a shot:

  • Tart Cherry Juice. It’s a great source of not only magnesium and melatonin, but also contains a small amount of tryptophan

  • Warm Milk. Cow’s milk is rich in tryptophan, magnesium, and vitamins A, B12, and sometimes D. Drinking it warm can produce a calming effect
  • Sleepy Girl Mocktail. The viral TikTok drink combines tart cherry juice, a scoop of powdered magnesium, and lemon lime prebiotic soda
  • Lemon Balm Tea. Lemon balm tea to reduce insomnia symptoms by 42-percent according to a 2011 study
  • Kiwi Banana Smoothie. Bananas are rich in tryptophan, magnesium, melatonin, fiber, and vitamins B6 and C, while kiwis are loaded with serotonin and fiber.
