COLUMBUS (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Ice Cream paired with alcohol? It is a real thing that Ohio Residents could soon have delivered to their home.

The Ohio House voted 76-16 yesterday to liberate alcoholic ice cream as an eat-in only treat, thus allowing it to be shipped to customers and purchased at grocery and liquor stores. Rep Catherine Ingram from Cincinnati, served as the bill’s sponsor.

She believes the bill promises to nurture the state’s emerging boozy ice cream business. Ohio law allows ice cream to contain up to six percent alcohol, which is the standard amount for most beers. The bill now advances to the Senate for consideration.
