New Closures on 62, Mahoning Road, Middlebranch Avenue

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Here’s a look at some road construction issues this week:

Route 62 at Interstate 77

The Route 62 Westbound ramp to I-77 North will close Monday evening for repairs on the bridge that is a major part of that ramp.

It reopens Saturday morning.

Also, as you approach that ramp, one of the lanes on 62 West will be closed for work on another bridge over a couple of roadways, a bike trail and a creek.

That lane closure will continue until next Friday.

12th Street/Mahoning Road Project

A new closure takes effect on this morning on Mahoning Road NE as part of the 12th Street/Mahoning Road Phase II project.

The city engineering department says Mahoning Road will be closed between 14th Street and basically Grace Avenue for two months.

The marked detour uses 19th Street.

Route 62/Middlebranch/Harrisburg

Middlebranch Avenue NE is closed Monday and Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for paving, between Route 62 and 34th Street.
