New Legislation Could Cut Costs for College Students

COLUMBUS (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Legislation was introduced to the State House earlier today that would exempt college textbooks from a sales tax.

A recent study found that the average cost of a college text book is $97, meaning that current students could potentially spend thousands of dollars on books alone throughout their college career.

If passed the bill would provide financial relief for students who are already dealing with the rising costs of higher education.
