COLUMBUS, Ohio (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Governor DeWine Thursday opens the Ohio School Safety Center in the Department of Public Safety.

It will initially be staffed by seven people who will watch for threats on social media and websites.

The office will also review school safety plans and do some training.

As part of the new center, Governor Mike DeWine is opening a Safer Ohio Tipline, where those with tips on possible school violence can call and provide whatever information they have.
