No Immediate Impact from Gas Tax Increase

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – There was no major jump in gasoline prices at midnight Sunday night, though the 10.5-cent increase in the state gasoline tax took effect.

The AAA average price early Monday morning from their daily survey was $2.66 a gallon in the Canton-Massillon metro area.

That’s actually down two-cents from Sunday.

Gas Buddy says gas stations could be absorbing the increase for the time being.

Then again, prices have risen ten cents in the last week!
