Norfolk Southern CEO on Rail Safety Legislation

ATLANTA, Georgia (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Norfolk Southern Railroad’s president and CEO indicates he is still not happy with some provisions of the various rail safety bills now in Congress.
Alan Shaw talked to WHBC News last week…
He did not spell out the provisions he disagrees with.
Shaw says safety is important to the company.
He says he’s also engaged directly with members of Congress
They’ve even hired a consultant who reports directly to him, a retired Navy admiral with safety experience with Navy nuclear propulsion systems.
Shaw says the company will be in East Palestine for the next ten years.
