North Canton Boy’s Body Recovered From Lake

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A boy from North Canton drowned at a lake in Guernsey County.
7-year-old Afton Taylor’s body was recovered from Salt Fork Lake on Monday morning.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the boy fell off a boat on the lake on Sunday afternoon while boating with his family.
A search for the boy was suspended late Sunday, and the searching resumed Monday morning and his body was located.
The boy reportedly was not wearing a life jacket when he fell from the boat.
The ODNR says all children on any size boat should wear a life jacket that is tight to their body.
And parents should only be able to slip two fingers under the shoulder straps.
