NWS: Stark Tornado Confirmed, Another Hits Summit, Green

CLEVELAND, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – There were tornadoes associated with those severe thunderstorms in the region Tuesday night.

An EF-0 twister was on the ground for two miles in Pike Township, uprooting trees, some of them ending up on houses.

Maximum winds were 80 miles an hour.

That twister crept over the county line, doing damage at the Sandy Valley Estates Mobile Home Park, according to the Cleveland Weather Service office.

Another EF-1 tornado was on the ground for eight miles from Barberton to Green.

Maximum winds there, 90 miles an hour.

No serious injuries were reported.
