COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The challenge of a campaign like National Preparedness Month this month is the fact that emergency messaging is no longer “one size fits all”.
Teens receive their information in a different way than adults do, and younger children must also be treated as a separate population.
They are often cell phone carriers.
Focusing on the varying populations is the goal of this year’s preparedness campaign, even looking at ways to get emergency messages to non-English speaking populations in their primary language.
