Ohio AG: Summit-Based Contractor to Pay Restitution, Civil Penalties

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A large payment due for a Summit County contractor already doing three years’ time on a criminal conviction for consumer fraud out of Portage County.

He must pay over $625,000 in restitution to 19 consumers he defrauded, but there’s more.

According to the AG’s office, A Cuyahoga County judge ordered Neil Wolfe, last business address Hudson, to pay $1.77 million in civil penalties.

That’s the maximum allowed by law.

AG David Yost says Wolfe would take down payments from prospective customers, then do no work or do it shoddily.
