One Dead in Bath Township Car Crash

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – One person is dead following a single-car accident that took place today in Bath Township. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver in a Chevy Impala was heading south on I-77 when their vehicle drove off the left side of the highway. The car hit an embankment just north of Ghent Road.

The vehicle was found overturned with the driver ejected. Officers believe the accident took place just before 8:00 AM. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Their identity has yet to be released to the public. Officers are still investigating the accident.
