Over 10,000 Deer Harvested During Recent Youth Gun Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Deer gun season in Ohio starts in a week, but hunters 17 and under already had a chance to bag a deer last weekend.

The ODNR Division of Wildlife says 10,449 white-tailed deer were checked in November 16 through 17 during the state’s Youth Gun Hunting Season.

The numbers are up a bit from last year.

Tuscarawas County was the top county with 354 deer taken.

Carroll County was 10th at 218.
