STARK COUNTY (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Just six of the 21 fatalities that have taken place on the stark county road ways this year have been drug or alcohol related.

Yesterday marked the start of a new year for the OVI Task force at the Stark County Sheriff’s office, who will look to make that number even less.

Nearly 30 police chiefs and other area law enforcement representatives met to outline a plan designed to reduce impaired driving. The Task force conducted 30 OVI checkpoints throughout the county this past year and plans to increase that number moving forward.
