Perry Woman Gets Jail in Animal Abuse Case

(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Sentencing in a disturbing animal abuse case in Stark County on Monday.
26-year-old Jessica Swinehart of Perry Township will do 10 months in the Stark County Jail following her plea to a felony abuse charge.
Court records indicate that Swinehart placed two dogs in a single cage over a period of time with no food or water.
One dog ate the other.
The surviving dog was also malnourished, but is said to be doing OK now.
The woman suffers from mental health issues.
