Plain Girl OK After Shark Bite, Will Return to Water

PLAIN TWP., (News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – A 9-year-old Plain Township girl is OK after suffering injuries from a shark bite at a Florida beach last week.

Maggie Crum was bitten on the leg in shallow water at New Smyrna Beach.

She was taken to the hospital where she needed 12 stitches…

Maggie says despite the incident, she’s not afraid to go back in the water.

There have been a number of swimmers bitten at that beach this summer.
