Proof That Cheaper Gas Prices Can Be Elusive

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – For a precious few moments on Friday morning, the price of gasoline in the metro area dropped below three dollars to a AAA average $2.99.

Then the bottom fell out.

Prices are up an average 41-cents since then, to $3.40 as of Monday morning’s survey.

State and national average prices are up too, with the auto agency saying demand is up and domestic supplies are tighter.

GasBuddy has the major chains pushing the price to $3.49.9 locally.
