Rain Welcome With Drought Designations

GREEN, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The rain showers and rain chances are welcome signs, after a particularly dry month so far.

The CAK weather station hadn’t measured any significant rain since .28 inches fell on September 6.

And the latest U.S. Drought Monitor map has much of Stark and Wayne Counties in m moderate drought.

It also shows parts of southern Carroll and Tuscarawas Counties in extreme drought.

There are now 37 Ohio counties under the State Fire Marshal’s outdoor burn ban including Carroll and Tuscarawas.

That unfortunately includes those Fall campfires.
