Record Warmth Winds Mean Fire Risk, Power Outages

GREEN, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The area’s rural fire departments have been on “fire watch” for the last few days.

And with Wednesday’s warmth and wind making it that much greater a danger.

We broke the temperature record for the date.

The 71 degree high beats the previous record of 66 from 1954.

And winds gusted to as high as 50 miles an hour in the area.

There were some power outages.

There were also a few field fires in Carroll County.
