Renkert Project Gets Major State Tax Credit

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved $100 million in credits on Wednesday.
That includes a $4.2 million tax credit for the rehabilitation of the Renkert Building at Market Avenue N and 3rd Sreet in downtown Canton.
Plans are for a $42 million redo for the historic building.
An extended-stay hotel with a restaurant on the first floor is the plan.
138 jobs are to be created.
