Report: Homicide Recorded 45 Minutes Into New Year

PERRY TWP., Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – It was only a matter of minutes into the new year when Stark County recorded its first homicide.

The Repository says 48-year-old Leah Zweidinger of Akron was pronounced dead inside a home in Perry Township at 12:45 Monday morning.

A 47-year-old male resident of the home was taken into custody.

No other information was provided about the killing.

The incident occurred on Briardale Drive, just north of 12th Street NW in the Sippo Lake area.
